SMALL ESTATE PLAN
The Small Estate Plan does not include estate tax planning. Depending on the size of your estate, the Small Estate Plan may not be appropriate. Tax planning may be appropriate to minimize estate taxes. The purpose of the Small Estate Plan is to distribute the entirety of your probate estate to intended beneficiaries (in most cases this is the husband or wife) upon your death. The Small Estate Plan includes your Last Will and Testament and may include a contingency trust in the possible event assets are distributed to minor children.
The Small Estate Plan also includes basic Ancillary Documents such as:
- Durable Power of Attorney (effective prior to death),
- Medical Power of Attorney (effective prior to death),
- Directive to Physician (effective prior to death),
- Appointment of Guardian for Minor Children (effective after death),
- Self-Proving Affidavit for the Will (effective after death).
The Flat Fee includes:
- Initial Consultation.
- Drafting of the Will and Ancillary Documents According to Your Instructions.
- Premium Cotton Paper and a Will Jacket.
- Will Execution Ceremony with Two Witnesses.
Getting Started. Completing the Small Estate Plan will take approximately 7 to 14 days:
- From "Contact Us" send an inquiry requesting a Small Estate Plan.
- Schedule the Initial Consultation so we can discuss your needs.
- After the Initial Consultation, you may then retain the Hurr Law Office to complete your Small Estate Plan.
- Complete a simple Estate Questionnaire with instructions on how to distribute your estate.
- Review an initial draft written according to your instructions.
- After your approval, we will schedule a Will Execution Ceremony.
